It is an amazing story of brave, courages and hurt girl who decided to leave Somalia and find a better place for herself. The story just goes to your heart. It's honest, not complicated that's why we may identify with the main character so easily. The story of Dirie's life is both fascinating and horrifying. You can learn a lot about that place and about woman's strengths. It's really worth reading. Thanks to Warren Dirie, the world got interested in barbarian ways of treating woman in Africa. It wasn't easy for the author to rise the topic as she was a victim of this cruel procedure. High recommendation and strong four stars.
